Abdoljabar Kakaei

Abdoljabbar Kakaei is a prominent Iranian poet and lyricist. His impressive career includes collaborations with renowned Iranian singers and composers. I also had the privilege of working with him over the years.

Our acquaintance dates back to 1984 when we were working on the album “Jorm-e Asheghi” with Hamed Moghadam. Abdoljabbar Kakaei wrote four songs for this album, which became some of its standout tracks. Later, in the album “Gharar-e Aval,” we collaborated again with Mohammad Akhavan, and he contributed four more beautiful songs.
Subsequently, we worked together on the soundtrack for the film “Iron Man,” directed by Rahim Behboudifar. I composed the melody for his exquisite lyrics, and Reza Sadeghi lent his voice to the final track. Simultaneously, Abdoljabbar Kakaei managed the literary evenings called “Asr-e Shoar va Taraneh” at Ersbaran Cultural Center, which has continued for over 18 years123. His passion for poetry and songwriting shines through his work, making him a respected figure in the Iranian music scene
