Arshad Rahbar

“Ershad (we actually call him Soheil!) is one of the animation directors I got to know at the ‘Hoor Institute.’ He started an incredibly funny and comedic animation, and we had several sessions together regarding the animation’s music and sound design. He had interesting ideas in the field of sound design, and we managed to implement almost all of them. We even developed a new style of sound design for the animation.

The animation “Kilileh and Friends” was a 52-episode series where I handled the music and sound design. We had so many laughs throughout the process! After some time, Soheil shifted to creating short live-action films, and we had another opportunity to collaborate. The short film “Nested” was our first joint project, and I think it turned out really well. Recently, we worked on another short film called “On,” which I believe is both psychological and profound. I wish Soheil all the best, and I hope he wins an Oscar someday!
