Behnam Hakim
Behnam is one of the most skilled and ethical musicians. He plays very cleanly and was the first person in Iran who could play with a Turkish accent at the same high standard. Behnam is proficient with many instruments and has an incredible talent and intelligence in playing music. He can beautifully play classical and electric guitar, baglama, tar, bouzouki, laoud, and oud. I forgot to mention that Behnam was also the first person to introduce the bouzouki into our pop music. Before him, I don’t recall anyone doing that. Behnam was also well-versed in Greek music, which was an extraordinary achievement at a time when there was no internet or references.
I have collaborated with Behnam on many of my projects. The music for the film “A Cozy Corner” in the album “First Date” and many other works that are yet to be released are the results of our joint efforts. His beautiful playing has always helped enhance my works. Behnam is a good friend of mine, and I would love to collaborate with him more.
