Saeed Shayan
“And now, Saeed Shayan is one of the most reserved, knowledgeable, and oldest friends I have! My acquaintance with Saeed dates back to the classes of ‘Alireza Mashayekhi’ held at the ‘Soreh University,’ where we learned theory and harmony. Saeed came from Semnan, and his passion for music fascinated me. We became friends and continued our friendship.
Saeed leaned more toward mixing and mastering, working on significant projects with renowned singers such as Naser Abdolahi, Babak Jahanbakhsh, and Majid Akhshabi. Perhaps it’s fair to say that the work Saeed did wasn’t yet recognized in Iran as a specialized field of ‘mixing and mastering.’ However, after his involvement in film soundtracks and albums, the category of ‘mixing and mastering’ gradually gained recognition. We engaged in fewer commercial projects together and focused more on supporting each other, with Saeed always contributing more to our collaborative efforts.
One of the exciting projects we worked on was the song ‘Oyle Yesil Gozleri Vardi’ with the voice of “Arzu Akca”. Saeed handled the mixing and mastering for this project in 2014, and it still sounds excellent. After that, I collaborated with another singer named ‘Hazal,’ and Saeed also worked on mixing and mastering the song ‘Izi Kalir.’ This work was well-received in the Turkish market because their music industry is ahead of Iran’s, and having an Iranian contribute within their standards is commendable.
Saeed remains one of my good friends. I hope he achieves what he deserves because he has put a lot of effort into music. And I look forward to reliving those good old days if the opportunity arises.”
